In the lead-up and aftermath of last night’s happenings, I was perhaps naively surprised to discover Steve Gottwalt’s twitter page was protected. Doesn’t that seem weird?  I think it does.  It would be interesting to know how many elected officials maintain “public but protected” social media outlets like this. Does it cut along political leanings? Association with controversial legislation?  Tenure?  Gender?  Send in the turks.
